Shortly after concluding her US Open run, the world No. 2 was notified that she failed a doping test conducted in August and that she was being provisionally suspended.

In the next few weeks, the five-time Grand Slam champion was able to determine the source of contamination - successfully appeal - and her provisional ban ended after just 23 days.

Since the Pole's doping case was first revealed in late November, the 23-year-old has several times described it as the toughest period of her life, which saw her cry a lot - be under immense stress - and have many sleepless nights.

I had no idea what happened, at the beginning I didnt have a source right on. We had to send supplements to the labs and wait for the results. It was so chaotic," the world No. 2 said during her appearance on The Insider Club, which is hosted by fellow pro Caroline Garcia.

Kyrgios on Swiatek: The old I'm the victim card

Responding to the Pole's comments, one user on X highlighted the part where the former world No. 1 admitted that she was unsure about how long she would be suspended.

Reacting to it, Kyrgios wrote: "The old Im the victim card - this tennis world really controls the narrative - its a bad joke."

During her conversation with Garcia, Swiatek also said that she felt so terrible during the entire doping process that she is not sure if she would be able to go through it for a second time.
