Monday Night RAW made its Netflix debut on January 6 and one of the biggest matches of the night was Liv Morgan defending her Womens World Title against Rhea Ripley. Morgan ended up dropping the title to The Eradicator and now the potential reason behind the title change has been revealed.
While speaking during aQ&A Session on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes was asked about Liv Morgan dropping the Womens World Championship. With WrestleMania 41 coming up, WWE needed to make room for four competitors in the womens title matches.
WrestleVotes noted that Rhea Ripley was going to be one of them, and it appears that Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will be the other two. Therefore, WWE didnt have a spot for Liv Morgan and decided to take the title from her.
With Becky Lynch having re-signed with WWE, fans can expect to see her back as soon as possible and reignite her feud with Rhea Ripley. Regardless, well have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Liv Morgan in the coming months, as fans feel she still deserves a proper program at WrestleMania 41.
