Trick Williams is not holding back after losing the NXT Championship to Oba Femi at New Years Evil. His 99-day reign came to a crushing end during a chaotic triple-threat match also involving Eddy Thorpe. After a series of intense exchanges, Williams found himself pinned by Femi, who capitalized on a mistake in the ring.
In the lead-up to the match, things took a wild turn when Oba Femi admitted to taking out Eddy Thorpe backstage, giving Williams a temporary advantage. However, Williams strategy faltered when he connected a Trick Shot knee on Femi but accidentally hit Thorpes chair. Femi took advantage of the mishap, delivering a powerful powerbomb that sealed the win and ended Tricks reign as champion.
Speaking with Mike Jones of DC101, Trick didnt shy away from calling Femi his toughest opponent yet. Being real, calling a spade a spade, as much as Im not happy about what happened, Oba is the real deal. He is the most dominant presence in the ring that Ive faced thus far. There is only one Oba Femi. The truth is, also, there is only one Trick Williams.
Tricks title reign lasted 99 days, with three successful defenses, but now with Femi taking the championship, Williams is left to regroup and find his next move in NXT. Despite the loss, his respect for Femi is clear, but dont expect Trick to go down without a fight.
