Kenny Omega made his long-awaited return to AEW on the January 8 episode of Dynamite in Clarksville, Tennessee, and it was a moment fans had been eagerly anticipating. Omegas promo during the final segment of the show brought an emotional and heartfelt speech about his struggles with diverticulitis, his doubts about returning to the ring, and his determination to prove that he can still be the best despite his physical limitations.
However, after the action-packed segment concluded with Will Ospreay rushing in to help Omega fend off Don Callis associates, the camera cut abruptly as Omega appeared to be about to say something. While fans were left hanging, Ringside News managed to obtain footage of what Omega was going to say after the cameras stopped rolling.
In the footage, Omega, clearly relieved to finally have some peace after the chaotic scene, can be heard saying, And now that we are finally off the air, and finally I am not being attacked by anybody, I can finally say Goodbye, and good night bang! This was a nod to Omegas signature send-off, Goodbye, and good night, bang! which has become a fan favorite phrase in AEW.
With Omegas next match scheduled against Brian Cage on the January 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, the question remains: how will the dynamic between Omega and Will Ospreay evolve? Will Ospreay play a pivotal role in Omegas feud with Don Callis, or are things going to get even more complicated?
