Tom McKibbin, one of the greatest talents in the world of golf, has become the main topic of the media in the last few days. Reason? A young golfer could join the controverisal LIV Tour. The 22-year-old golfer hails from the country where the big golf star comes from; Rory McIlroy.

According to reports, McKibbin could join Jon Rahm's team (Legion XIII). The talented golfer attracted media attention with his performances on the DP World Tour, especially after winning the Porsche European Open.
In an interview with Golf Digest Middle East, the 22-year-old revealed that he doesn't want to say anything before the DP World Tour Team Cup in Abu Dhabi ends.
"Im not gonna make any comments this week out of respect for Justin [Rose] and Luke [Donald] and this tournament," said McKibbin, as quoted by Golf Magic.
"Its a team event so Im just trying to give my best to the team and see how many points I can get."
Rumors appearing in the media in recent years have often turned out to be true. This time it is difficult to give the right answer, but judging by the statements of the 22-year-old, it seems that he is close to going to the Saudi-backed Tour.

That would be a huge blow to the PGA Tour, which relies on young talents.
Although LIV leaders have not been particularly active in the last year, the offseason is the time when they make the greatest efforts to attract some of the golfers.
Luke Donald, the captain of the European team, does not want to get too involved in the decisions of the talented golfer, believing that the Northern Irishman has the right to make the decisions that are best for him.
"Tom has to make the decisions that he feels are best for him. I talked to Tom and he's very much looking forward to this week, looking forward to playing for Justin, looking forward to try and impress me and contribute to the team. Nothing changes there."
