The Road to WrestleMania is heating up, and John Cena is at the center of the conversation. Despite announcing himself as an entrant into the Royal Rumble, the current plan for Cena may not include him winning the coveted match. Instead, hes reportedly lined up for a monumental Elimination Chamber victory.
On the latest episode of the Dirty Sheets Backstage Informer podcast, Billi Bhatti broke down the evolving WrestleMania plans and revealed Cenas role in the chaos. Were hearing things about WWE now not wanting to do Logan Paul versus John Cena, Bhatti said. Im only saying that they dont have that down as a match because Ive also read those rumors as well. It does seem like John Cena is very much aligned to the world championship.
Bhatti went on to explain that Cenas WrestleMania path likely begins with the Elimination Chamber, not the Royal Rumble. The last I heard, John Cena was very much penciled into Elimination Chamber, which would take him out of a program with Logan Paul. Unless, Logan Paul is going into WrestleMania as champion but I dont think he is, Bhatti stated.
Cenas announcement as a Royal Rumble participant initially sparked rumors that he could win the match and headline WrestleMania. However, those plans appear to have shifted, with Seth Rollins emerging as the frontrunner to win the Rumble and pursue his own storyline arc.
As WrestleMania season unfolds, Cenas role in WWEs biggest event of the year is becoming clearer. While his rumored match against Logan Paul seems to be off the table, the possibility of Cena capturing gold at Elimination Chamber sets the stage for a massive showdown at WrestleMania. Whether Cenas journey culminates in a world title win or another unforgettable performance, fans are eager to see what lies ahead for the 16-time world champion.
