Patrick Reed, the man who surprised golf fans by joining LIV Golf, spoke about various topics on the golf scene in an exclusive interview with the Mirror. In recent years, this sport has experienced a lot of turbulence, but it still attracts the attention of fans.

Although one can feel general dissatisfaction among fans, there are still optimistic ones, like Reed, who believe that things will turn out ideal in the end. The 34-year-old golfer commented on the conflicts between the PGA and LIV, feeling that each side has certain components that make it unique. The popular golfer believes that the novelties presented by LIV are the future of this sport, and a way to attract the younger population.
"We don't need another league that is exactly like the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour. We are trying to bring the younger generation into golf. How do you do that? Add music, a team aspect, have it be faster, have it not last as long with a shotgun start, have the concerts. It shows a new side of golf and a newer age. I think golf needs both. Not one or the other golf needs both because the traditionalists will tend towards the PGA Tour, whereas the kids or younger generation who want a faster pace, there is a perfect spot to see that at LIV."- he told Mirror.

Reed is part of the 4aces team, whose leader is Dustin Johnson. The captain of this interesting team did not have an ideal season behind him, but his wishes are that 2025 looks something different for him.
Reed admitted that he has high expectations from the captain, admitting that both are dissatisfied with 2024. The new year will be a chance for them to show their fans why they were once the top of the golf world.
"DJ's a silent assassin," Reed said.
"It is good because when he does say something you know it means something and you listen. He is going to be a little different this year though. He and I talked and we weren't happy with how the season was last year, and I think we are going to see a different side to DJ this year."
