Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa during WWEs January 6 Netflix debut, and now there is only one Tribal Chief in WWE. During the January 10 episode of SmackDown, they followed up with that in a big way.
Paul Heyman was on hand to kick off the show this week to let everyone know what Roman Reigns intends to do next. It didnt take him long to call out Cody Rhodes, and the American Nightmare wasted no time making his entrance.
Paul Heyman sang Cody Rhodes praises for a bit, and then he revealed that Roman Reigns asked him to do him a favor. Heyman revealed that, since Reigns has the Ula Falla once again, the Original Tribal Chief wants his title back.
Heyman then announced that Roman Reigns has decided that he will get another shot at the Undisputed World Title by winning the 2025 Royal Rumble match. After all, Cody is already defending his title against Kevin Owens in a ladder match on February 1.
That is when Kevin Owens came out to yell at Cody Rhodes. He brought up how Cody shook hands with The Rock and made friends with Roman Reigns. Finally, Cody had heard enough of Owens, and he jumped in the crowd to start a brawl in the Moda Center.
Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns or the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40. That was a big way for Cody to finish his story, and the OTC took a bit of a hiatus after that. Now, it appears that they may be circling back around to that idea.
