Elena Rybakina repeated in her Australian Open pre-tournament press conference that she was "never mistreated" by Stefano Vukov and also blasted Pam Shriver for making some claims when she even doesn't know her personally.

After the Kazakh tennis star returned the Croatian to her team last week, it was revealed that the WTA launched an investigation over possible misconduct.

However, it wasn't the world No. 6 that filed a complaint to the WTA about Vukov's behavior but someone else from the tennis world.

Shriver, who is one of the most outspoken critics of Rybakina's partnership with the 37-year-old, didn't hide on X that she was disappointed over their reunion.

The 1976 US Open finalist may be disappointed that the two got back together but the Kazakh is frustrated that she is still not officially allowed to have the Croatian coach in her team - at least until the investigation concludes.

Rybakina slams Shriver: We don't know each other, it's unfair to make any comments like that

"Well, I get that one of coaches... But I'm sure I don't know her personally. She never came to me, never talked with me, but I know her story. It's sad, but it doesn't mean other players facing the same issues," the 25-year-old said.

"Since she doesn't know me, I don't know her, I don't think it's fair to make any comments like that, especially being an active coach, being commentator, journalist, so on."

Also, Rybakina underlined that she never made a single complaint about Vukov and that she wasn't happy with how some were portraying her collaboration with the 37-year-old.

"Well, first of all, like with the whole situation, I don't want to speak much about what's going to be next. But definitely, as I said before, I don't agree with a lot of things what WTA do in the sense of my relationship with Stefano," the former world No. 3 added.

Meanwhile, Rybakina plays 16-year-old Australian Emerson Jones in the Australian Open first round.
