The University of Georgiawomen's tennis team will enter the 2025 spring season ranked No.1, having earned three first-place votes along with the highest combined finishes in the preseason coaches poll.

That honor comes after a 2024 season that featured regular-season and SEC tournament titles, as well as a run to the NCAA Championship Game.
The Bulldogs will see the mostof their 2024 roster return with 2024-25 NCAA Singles champion Dasha Vidmanova, who will begin the season ranked No. 1 in the ITA Women's Singles rankings.
Junior Anastasiia Lopata returns for her junior season after finishing as the 2024 NCAA Singles runner-up, while sophomore Aysegul Mert is set for her sophomore season in Athens, following a stellar 2024 campaign in which she won the NCAA Doubles national championship alongside Vidmanova.
Five players head into the 2025 spring season listed in the most recent ITA singles and doubles rankings. In singles, Vidmanova leads the way at No. 1 followed by Lopata at No. 29 rounded out by Guillermina Grant at No. 60. In doubles, Mert and Grant come in at No. 19 followed by the duo Mert and Hayden Mulberry at No. 43.

The action begins on Friday17 January 2025,when the Bulldogs host Georgia Tech at 5 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Georgia is one of 10 Southeastern Conference programs ranked in the initial top 25, followed by Texas A&M (No. 2), Texas (No. 7), Auburn (No. 12), Oklahoma (No. 16), Tennessee (No. 18), Florida (No. 19), South Carolina (No. 20), Vanderbilt (No. 21) and Alabama (No. 22).
Meanwhile, the Georgia women's tennis program has released its 2025 spring schedule, head coach Drake Bernstein announced Thursday.
