The former world No.1 played the Brisbane ATP 250 as his only official tournament before the AO and was eliminated by Reilly Opelka in the quarterfinals, but showed good condition after a long period of absence from the tour.
The 37-year-old from Belgrade had missed the last official events of 2024 and his last official tournament was the Rolex Shanghai Masters in October 2024, in which he was defeated by Jannik Sinner in the final.
Nole is ready for his debut
Nole is still looking to win the 100th title of his career and hopes to do so in Australia, where he has achieved some of his most memorable feats. The current world number 7 will make his debut on Monday, January 13 against young American ace Nishesh Basavareddy on the iconic Rod Laver Arena.
