Thomas Pieters is one of the more promising golfers, and those who have watched him can confirm that. The 32-year-old from Belgium is ready to do great things in the coming period, aiming for 2025 to be a special year for him.
Speaking to the media, Pieteres reflected on his performance at the Dubai Desert Classic as part of the DP World Tour, happy with the weather conditions. The popular golfer has interesting plans in the coming period, but his current focus is on Dubai.
I still have one year of my exemption (on the DP World Tour) left and if I want to play my way into form, and get some reps in, then my only thought was how do I get into Dubai?" stated Pieters, as quoted by Golf Monthly.
"Im playing two weeks in a row in Dubai, which has great weather and competition. I get to play in Belgium and, when the LIV season is over, I hopefully get to play Wentworth and those tournaments."
Pieteres admitted that he misses playing tournaments in Europe for many reasons. Playing in Prague, Madrid and other European metropolises is a special feeling for the Belgian.
I miss just playing in Europe. You go to the cool towns like Paris, London and places like that. Ive never been a fan of playing in America because, when your round is finished, what do you do?
To me, its very different when you play in Prague, or Madrid, or wherever. Thats what I love about my job, so Ive missed that but, as I said, Im going to be playing five or six events in Europe, which will be nice."- he concluded.
The 32-year-old has had a solid season, although he is aware that he could have done even better. However, this year could be a completely different story for him, and an opportunity to take a step further in his career.
