Darby Allins fearlessness in the ring has translated into his latest challenge: climbing Mount Everest. The AEW star has taken time off from the company to focus on his intense training for the worlds tallest mountain, a venture hes set to undertake in April.
According to Fightful Select, Allin has been off the road and absent from AEW TV since his December 22 match against Ricochet on Dynamite, which ended in a time limit draw. Internally, AEW has plans for a major push upon Allins return, but fans shouldnt expect to see him back until the spring.
Speaking to Under the Ring, Allin revealed how hes preparing for the grueling trek. Breath training has been a key focus, with Allin holding his breath for up to three minutes and 40 seconds. To prove his abilities, he even held his breath underwater for over three minutes. I thought, if I do it on air, I need to do it in water so no one thinks Im cheating, Allin explained.
While the Everest training has been the hardest hes ever done, Allin embraces the challenge. I love being pushed to my absolute limit, but yeah, its definitely tough, he admitted. Despite the risks, Allin is determined to conquer Mount Everest, even though Sting reportedly tried to talk him out of it.
With AEW fans cheering him on from afar, Darby Allins journey to Mount Everest is one of resilience and determination.
