Jacob Fatu signed with WWE last year and made a massive debut on theJune 21st episode of SmackDown. In the months since Fatu has been absolutely dominant as a member of the new Bloodline. While hes clearly a great fit for WWE, it appears that Mark Henry told AEW to sign Jacob Fatu as well.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry explained that before leaving WWE, he strongly pushed for the company to sign Jacob Fatu. He believed Fatu had incredible talent but acknowledged that his personal issues at the time made him a risky choice. Henry described Fatu as a tough and intense competitor with a unique presence.
After joining AEW, Henry continued to advocate for Fatu, encouraging the company to consider bringing him in. However, the signing did not happen. Reflecting on the situation, Henry stated that the timing and circumstances played a role in how things turned out.
Things clearly worked out for Jacob Fatu as he is one of the biggest stars on WWE television right now and its expected 2025 will be an even better year for him. Therefore, well have to wait and see whether WWE will eventually make Fatu a singles champion.
