Thunder Rosa is setting the record straight about the swirling rumors surrounding her absence from AEW during her injury recovery.

During a conversation with Tim Rivera, the former AEW Womens World Champion opened up about the challenges she faced after suffering a devastating back injury and addressed accusations that she was avoiding people in the company.

Rosa didnt hold back when explaining the reality of her situation. It was a disaster afterward. People came after me, and rumors started spreading that I was hiding from people in AEW or whatever. But I wasnt hiding. I literally broke my back and was getting treatment with the doctors. I even went and did the cold plunge, but I couldnt move. It was rough. Everything just went downhill, she shared.

One of the rumors claimed Rosa was hiding in a bathroom following an incident at Battle of the Belts III on August 6, 2022, where she accidentally broke Jamie Hayters nose during their AEW Womens World Championship match. Rosa has since dismissed these claims, emphasizing that her focus during her absence was on recovering from the severe injury that left her unable to move at times.
