Tyrrell Hatton joined LIV Golf a little over a year ago, even though he knew that such a decision could have negative consequences for him.

The experienced Englishman had been linked to the controversial Tour for months before that, and it could be expected that he would take a path that is not very popular with the golfing public. LIV Golfers are still in the same situation, given that they are not eligible for the OWGR, and at the same time the future of individuals in the Ryder Cup is questionable.
Hatton spoke to the media about the Ryder Cup future, aware that he will have a difficult time automatically qualifying for the team.
Yeah, by now, I guess Luke knows what Im capable of or the type of golf that I can produce, Hatton said, as quoted by Irish Golfer.
Yeah, my job is harder to automatically qualify for the team but I have five events to do that. So yeah, Im going to give it my best. And my last three Ryder Cups, Ive managed to automatically qualify, and Id love to keep that streak going.

Hero Dubai Desert Classic tournament
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic tournament, which takes place next week, will be an opportunity for the Englishman to move step by step towards his goal. Playing Team Cup, Tyrell impressed everyone, but it seems that he himself did not expect to be so great. His team (Great Britain & Ireland) celebrated against Continental Europe.

I guess a little bit of a surprise in terms of how consistent I was. Sort of expecting to be rusty. In some ways, you have one eye next week on the Desert Classic, but overall, really pleased with how I played and really happy to contribute towards the team. Its been a fantastic week.
