"I stand by Jannik. I don't think this will affect the image of tennis. Nobody wants to be in that situation. I can't imagine receiving an email saying I failed a doping test for whatever reason, cocaine or any drug you don't even know the name of. It's a complicated situation. Sinner does what he has to do and Wada does what it has to do. We'll see how it ends," he said.
Sinner, a few hours ago, had talkedabout the continuous insinuations of Nick Kyrgios about him.
"I don't think I have to respond. How can I block out all this noise? It's not something you put aside and stop thinking. Deep down I know exactly what happened and that's how I think to block it. I didn't do anything wrong and that's why I'm here and I keep playing. I don't want to respond to what Nick said or any other player. I think the most important thing is to have people around me that I trust and who know what's going on. That's all," said the Italian.
