In 2024, the number of golf federation licenses has increased by 6,644 licenses, 2.2% more. This consolidates the upward trend of the sport, since it has grown uninterruptedly since 2019 and has left behind the years of decline brought about by the economic crisis.

In this way, golf continues to head towards its peak of registrations, when in 2010 it achieved 338,588 federated members.

By autonomous communities, Madrid is the community in which the highest percentage of registered players is found, with 31% and almost 95,000 federated members. Andalusia and Catalonia complete the podium.

Only three autonomous communities lost registrations this year: Navarra and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. The number of women registered in golf, which is significantly lower than that of men, increased this year by 1,805 licences and now totals more than 83,000.
