Although many expected that Greg Norman would remain a part of LIV Golf as CEO for years to come, it turned out that Norman, as well as the leaders of LIV Golf, have somewhat different ideas. The 69-year-old was the main link of this Tour, and the patron figure of the Saudi-backed Tour. His arrival in this position caused criticism and furious reactions, but Greg remained determined to attract the best players and make LIV the biggest Tour.

Nevertheless, Norman ended the adventure with this controversial Tour, at least as CEO.
In a lengthy message, Norman decided to congratulate his successor, Scott O'Neil, stressing that he is a great person for the position. Norman is delighted with his hands involved in this story, as he wants this sport to go in the right direction.

"The league will be in very good hands with him at the helm. I started this journey more than 30 years ago, knowing in my heart and mind that the game of golf and its professional players were undervalued, delivering a product that felt stagnant."
