At the on-court interview, Emma, on the next match against Swiatek in the highly anticipated 3rd round, can't wait to face the Polish player to see how far she has come.

"It's going to be a great match for me. Any match I get to play against these great opponents, I really enjoy it. It's a chance to test my game and see where I'm at. We've played twice before on clay.

Let's see on hard court. She's achieved so much already. Going there, I have nothing to lose. I just want to give it my all. I'll give it my all. I can't wait to play in front of you guys," she said.

Emma, after beating Anisimova, stressed how it's always difficult to play against a friend like the American.

"It's incredibly difficult when you play with a friend. It adds another dimension to the match. It's hard to put everything off the court. She's such an incredible opponent. I knew I had to fight hard, improve my game and not give up in the 2nd set even when things were difficult. I wish her all the best," explained the young British player.
