Chris Jericho is still a regular part of AEW TV, but many fans have expressed frustration and want him off the show and retire from wrestling for good. In response to the criticism, he has claimed that he will never retire from wrestling.
The King of New York took to his TikTok account and uploaded a video at a recent concert, where he addressed fans chanting that he should retire from wrestling for good. After mocking the said fans by mimicking the chants, he boldly claimed that he would never retire from wrestling, saying, Please retire? F****** never!
Chris Jericho has faced a lot of criticism from fans recently, with some believing his role in AEW, especially with The Learning Tree, isnt helping the show and is holding back younger wrestlers. Despite this, AEW continues to give him major roles, including winning the ROH World Championship, which has only added to fans frustration.
Unsurprisingly, Chris Jericho has denied claims that he has go-away heat as well. Its unclear if AEW will try to change Jerichos character to reduce the criticism, but this doesnt seem likely anytime soon, especially since he has claimed he will never retire from wrestling.
