Todd Woodbridge recently gave a long interview to the Times of India.
The former world number 1 doubles player talked about Carlos Alcaraz and his chances of winning the 2025 Australian Open in Melbourne, considering the young Spaniard the funniest player since Roger Federer.
"I think this is his best chance so far. He didn't come to Australia after winning his first Major at the US Open, 2022 because he got injured. Then last year he didn't have his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero, he looked tactically unsure and didn't play his best.
This time I think he can be dangerous for everyone. He's the most fun player to watch after Roger Federer. He's got the flair and finesse of Roger, the fitness and movement of Novak Djokovic and then the Spanish determination of Rafael Nadal.
He's probably my first choice for the Australian Open. It would be a feat if he could win the Australian Open and then win all four Majors at such a young age," he explained.
"One of the joys of watching him is that he has so many options. I hope he has a long career and that he learns to discipline his game because sometimes he brings an opponent back into the match.
That's what Roger started to do very well when he was at his peak, demolishing players with the right shots at the right time. Carlos is still putting it all together, he still has a lot to improve on," he added.
