TNA Genesis just got even bigger, as two former TNA World Champions are set to unite for a major showdown. On the January 16 episode of TNA iMPACT!, it was officially announced that Eric Young and Steve Maclin will team up to take on Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers of The System.
This matchup comes after weeks of escalating tension, with The Systems Edwards, Myers, and JDC ruthlessly taking out Jonathan Gresham on the January 9 episode of TNA iMPACT! Maclin and Young have had enough and are now ready to bring the fight straight to The System.
The battle lines were drawn after Maclin and Young picked up a win over KC Navarro and AJ Francis on January 16. Their victory was short-lived, though, as Edwards and Myers wasted no time confronting them, setting the stage for what promises to be a hard-hitting tag team war at Genesis.
In another big announcement, Busted Open Radio will host the official TNA Genesis Countdown Show, bringing fans exclusive coverage and expert analysis ahead of the event.
