Even though nothing has been officially announced by the PGA Tour, discussions are reportedly underway to consider moving the Genesis Invitational, hosted by Tiger Woods, to the calendar as fires continue to ravage Los Angeles County.

After three days of fierce fighting, the fire is still not under control in Los Angeles. There have already been 11 deaths and nearly 200,000 people have been evacuated from the City of Angels, which has become a veritable hell.
The apocalyptic images circulating on social media attest to the dramatic situation. It is the most devastating fire in the history of the United States.
Under these conditions, how can we consider playing a professional golf tournament in Pacific Palisades (see the video below) where the Riviera Country Club course is located, one of the most affected neighborhoods along with Malibu and Hollywood?
This is the question that the organizers and the PGA Tour are asking themselves. "We continue to monitor the situation and we think first of the protection and health of the people affected ...", wrote the management of the 3rd Signature Event of the season normally scheduled in a month (February 13 to 16).

If the decision is made to postpone the event, it is rumored that the TPC Scottsdale, which hosts the Waste Management Phoenix Open the week before, will host an additional event in the process.
