Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has admitted the club are "ready" to sign a replacement for winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in response to links to Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho.

Kvaratskhelia departed for Paris Saint-Germain last week in a deal worth around 70m (59.1m) and it is believed Napoli have set their sights on Garnacho as their preferred replacement.

Manna was asked specifically whether Napoli will try to lure Garnacho over from United. While he refused to go into details, he acknowledged the club are working hard to find Kvaratskhelia's replacement.

"We are making some evaluations, we must not get carried away by the frenzy," he told Sky Sports Italy. "There is expectation, we will be ready but on Napoli's terms."

United are not thought to be actively looking to offload Garnacho, whose potential availability has caught Chelsea's eye, but would be ready to listen to offers of around 60m.

That fee is thought to be too much for Napoli, who are pursuing a deal worth closer to 42.2m, according to Corriere dello Sport.

It is claimed that Napoli "will not wait much longer" for United to compromise on their asking price for Garnacho before pursuing alternative targets. Marcus Rashford has previously been discussed as an option but the Englishman is attracting greater interest from AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
