The season behind him was not very successful, but 2025 is a chance for the 27-year-old to correct his mistakes and start 2025 in a great way.
Looking back on the seasons behind him, and especially the previous one, the young golfer pointed out that he now appreciates the first stages of his career more, when he played without pressure. The changes he made last year seemed to create confusion in his mind.
"[Struggling] certainly makes me cherish how I used to play golf for the first, say, four years of my career," Hovland said, as quoted by CBS Sports.
"It's been very effortless. Just kind of standing over the ball and knowing that, 'OK, the ball is going to start somewhere there end and up over there somewhere.' That's a pretty stress-free way of playing golf."

Viktor Hovland shares his mistakes
Hovland shared that he is a person who always strives to improve and make modifications in the game. A massive problem for talented golfer this time was the huge expectations, which obviously created pressure.
Although he previously made changes in his career that resulted in progress and positive results, this time something quite different happened. This probably caused him frustration.
"Obviously, I've always tried to push myself, and even when it was really good, I kept on pushing it and maybe setting too high expectations because maybe didn't realize how good it was or I thought it could continue to get better and better and better. For the most part of my career, every decision that I've made to change something up in order to play better, it has worked."- he concluded.
