Hatton has been making headlines for the past two days, as he celebrated on American Express.

Tyrrell managed to keep his membership on the DP World Tour despite fines and suspensions.

To win the last tournament in such a competition is a big deal. The Englishman also referred to the decision to join LIV Golf, admitting that it was difficult to make such a decision. He is delighted that he can play on the European Tour with colleagues from the continent.

I've said previously, making that decision to move over to LIV was really difficult and one that I didn't take lightly. It was a week off after being here, and I honestly hated that week to be honest.- he said, as quoted by Golf Monthly.

Tyrrell Hatton on DP World Tour events

Hatton has played DP World Tour events for years, and it is certain that he would find it difficult to accept the inability to play them. The Englishman is still part of this story, with the hope that he will have the same fate in the years to come. Playing the DP will be key for him if he wants to be part of the Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black this year.

Sitting here now and being able to have played DP World Tour events, you know, and again, when I signed, I feel like I went about it the right way. I spoke to the right people, and everyone knew like my stance and how I felt about the DP World Tour and wanting to still play events.- he continued.

The 33-year-old watched DP World Tour events as a kid, dreaming of playing on the big stage alongside the legends of the sport. Having achieved his dream, Hatton has struggled to come to terms with the fact that he will potentially not be playing on the DP. Hatton admits that despite joining LIV Golf, his love for the European Tour has never been in doubt.

From watching the event as a kid, just makes these events that much more special and to be a part of them, and yeah, I mean, as I said, I love playing on the DP World Tour, and I feel like although I have moved over to LIV that I have still shown the commitment that I want to play."- he concluded.
