The two men along with CM Punk came face-to-face with one another in a tense verbal confrontation as they all declared their intentions to win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble.
After "Raw" General Manager Adam Pearce announced that she has been signed as the newest member of the brand due to the transfer portal, Bayley will be competing in her first televised match on Monday nights as she goes head-to-head with longtime rival Nia Jax. Bayley and Jax have had their fair share of issues with one another over on "SmackDown" due in large part to the fact that Jax had dethroned Bayley as WWE Women's Champion at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
Lyra Valkyria became the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion last week when she defeated Dakota Kai in the finals of the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament. Tonight, she will be appearing for the first time since with something on her mind to share. Speaking of Kai, she will be joining forces with her Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY as they square off with two members of Pure Fusion Collective.
As the WWE Universe continues to voice their disdain for them after they had some choice words for their former stablemate Big E. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of New Day will be in tag team action tonight against opponents who have yet to be named. Elsewhere, after a successful WWE debut in which he emerged victorious over Chad Gable, Penta will be returning to action tonight against another opponent who has yet to be announced.
Additionally, Jey Uso will be making an appearance on tonight's show before he challenges GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event this coming Saturday. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett then greet audiences at home as Jey Uso makes his way down to the ring.
Jey says he is now in Dallas, then addresses his World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
GUNTHER's music hits and he makes his way out. He assumes that Jey was about to state that he'll dethrone him as World Heavyweight Champion, and Jey confirms such. GUNTHER calls Jey "a funny little man", then says he was excited to face Jey until he saw him acting like a complete dork. He says Jey never follows up with his word, and he's a useful idiot with how much he helps Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn. He says while Jey's words and actions don't align, his do and tells Jey that he will prove on Saturday why he shouldn't be anywhere near the World Heavyweight Championship.
Jey admits that GUNTHER is right, but says that the fans have his back and they'll be with him when he dethrones GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship. He says while he respects GUNTHER, GUNTHER will put some respect on his name because only one of them standing in the ring has main evented WrestleMania.
GUNTHER goes after Jey and fires off a right hand on him. Jey rains down right hands on GUNTHER, but Jey returns the favor and connects with a superkick on GUNTHER. GUNTHER considers getting back inside the ring, but opts not to and instead stares down Jey as Jey puts his signature sunglasses back on.
We then head backstage and see New Day run into JBL, where Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods encourage JBL to get fans on their side of things and offer him money to do so.
Rey Mysterio then makes his way down to the ring. New Day follows, and JBL joins the announce desk.
