Its hard not to feel sorry for Steph Curry at this point. Less than six months ago, he was the superstar of Team USA as they won gold in epic fashion at the Paris Olympics.

Hes come crashing back down to earth with the Warriors this season, and hard.

After ESPN had just put out an article where Curry said he still thinks the Warriors can beat anybody in a playoff series they lose 125-85 to rivals Boston on Golden State home court.

Curry was asked how he can process a loss like that by reporters after the game.

I have no idea, Curry said, via The Athletics Anthony Slater. Its a tough one. From the end of the first quarter and for the rest of the game. I thought we came out with pretty good life and energy. A big part of our season has been when we cant score, we lose spirit, we lose life, we lose competitiveness. We can get away with it against some teams against the defending champs, its not a good formula for success.

He was then asked how the team is going to stay afloat for the next week or so without the injured Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green.

The next man up mentality everybody who steps foot on the floor gotta be able to perform, bring a spirit of, you know, you belong, we do it together as unit, Curry said, in the most unconvincing fashion possible. Didnt happen tonight, we obviously had nothing really to show for 36 minutes tonight and its going to get tougher you gotta believe that you have enough to win on any given night. You have to believe that were a team that can find a way to execute on both ends of the floor. Its a mentality thing before its a physical thing, I think.

Its clear that Golden State need to get Curry some kind of help this trade deadline. Watching his spirit get crushed this hard is difficult to watch.
