Shortly after it was confirmed that the Kazakh decided to bring back Stefano Vukov to her team, reports started to emerge that Novak Djokovic's former long-time coach was left "blindsided" by the move.
Also, it was heavily rumored that they would split after the WTA's investigation into Vukov concludes.
While the investigation is still ongoing, it is nearing its end.
And a day after Rybakina exited the Australian Open in the round-of-16 following a loss to Madison Keys, the 2001 Wimbledon winnerdecided to leave her team.
"After our trial period that finished with Australian Open, I wish Elena and her team best of luck moving forward," the 53-year-old announced.
Rybakina indicated this could happen
On Monday, Keys defeated the world No. 7 6-3 1-6 6-3.

After the match, the 25-year-old acknowledged in her presser that she wasn't happy about not having Vukov in her box or on the practice courts.
When asked about Ivanisevic, she hinted that their partnership could soon come to an end.
"Well, we still need to talk. We just tried [working together] in the pre-season and these couple of tournaments it was something just getting used to each other," Rybakina said.
"We will definitely talk how the next schedule is going to look like."
While Djokovic's former coach said it was "a trial period," the general belief and understanding was that their collaboration was a full-time one the moment they agreed to work in 2025.
When the Croatian coach accepted to work with the Kazakh, he said that it was an intriguing offer as he felt the 25-year-old had the ability to win multiple Grand Slams in the next couple of years.

But instead of doing big things together, Rybakina and the Croatian split after just two tournaments together.
