The American golfer confirmed yesterday that he is close to returning to golf courses after the hand injury he sustained during Christmas. The 28-year-old revealed in an interview with the media that he does not want to hurry, aiming for a full recovery.

Scottie is excited about his return, wanting to dominate the golf scene this season as well.

Just want to make sure Im getting back to normal, progressing the right way in recovery, Scheffler said, as quoted by The 42.

Im definitely anxious to get back, excited to get back but Im also not going to rush back just to rush back.

Scheffler revealed to the fans that the glass pierced the palm of his right hand, after which he had to undergo an emergency surgery to remove the glass. His recovery seems to be going in the right direction, so we can expect his performance at the Pebble Beach Pro Am next week.

Scheffler is satisfied with the recovery process, stressing that they are still making plans regarding the future and playing tournaments. The 28-year-old golfer seems determined to do just as big things this season as well.

Feeling good, everything went well with the surgery, Scheffler said. Body feels pretty good. Still making decisions on schedule going forward. Should know next few days to a week whether Ill be playing next week."
