Patrick Reed is in action this week at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship at Al Hamra Golf Club. Although the experienced American golfer was not originally on the list for this tournament, he was registered at the last moment, revealing why he had not decided to take such a step earlier.

The 34-year-old golfer had intended to play in this tournament, but Donald Trump's invitation to his inauguration changed his mind. However, Patrick realized at the last moment that he would not make it back in time.
This motivated him to play brilliantly a week earlier, securing himself a place in this tournament. Reed stressed that he heard only positive things about the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, wishing to make a good result this time as well.
Its one of these events that I wanted to come over and play but I had an invitation from the President to be at his inauguration on Monday, said Reed, as quoted by Gulf News.
Unfortunately, with how the schedule was, I was unable to get back in time, but when I realised that it was already after the deadline to enter this event.

So, I knew I had to go out and take care of business and finish in the top ten last week to be able to play or I would have been hanging out in Dubai for another week practicing.
It was awesome to get that finish, secure a top ten and come over here and play as Ive heard some good things about this place.
