Shane Lowry was not particularly focused on golf during the offseason, preferring to rest. The Irish golfer was clearly tired from the previous season, with many challenges that he successfully overcame. However, all good things come to an end, and Lowry already has to focus on the new season.

The experienced Irishman will make his debut at Torrey Pines, and can he take a step towards the Ryder Cup? In an interview with the media last year, Shane stressed that Majors are his priority, with the Masters starting first. However, the Ryder Cup is also of huge importance for the 37-year-old Irishman, who is ready to proudly walk the golf scene this year.
Ive got huge things ahead over the next year, obviously, first and foremost, we look to April and the Masters, and then you look at the other Majors after that, Lowry said, as quoted by Independent.
Probably at the forefront of my mind is that Ryder Cup next year. Thats a huge thing for me to do. I really want to be a part of that side, and I really want to be a part of a winning side. So Ill do everything I can for the next nine months to do that, and hopefully, we get the job done.

Padraig Harrington praises Shane Lowry
Looking back at the season behind him, it must be admitted that the experienced golfer has done great things. Last year, he managed to be in the top 10 seven times, and several times in the top 20. Well-known names in the golf scene, such as Padraig Harrington, had only words of praise for the Irishman, believing that in many aspects of the game he dominated.
His game has been the best of his career this year, Pdraig Harrington says. Hes comfortable off the tee. He drives it very straight. Hes turned into a really, really, really good iron player and the persistent practice with the putting has paid off. Clearly, he needed structure, and Stephen Sweeney gives him that.
