Justin Thomas has been the main topic of golf magazines, websites and blogs since yesterday. The 31-year-old golfer celebrated as team captain in last night's TGL league match. The popular golfer appears to be one of the main promoters of TGL and the PGA Tour, a role he has never had before.

Justin was mostly a golfer who didn't want to talk much, to stand aside and not get into debates. However, realizing that the world of golf is entering a new era, he decided to change.

In the letter he sent to his colleagues from PGA Tour, Justin stressed that his colleagues should be open to the Tour's TV partners. Although he did not mention it in the letter, Thomas is aware of the importance of cooperation with TV companies, especially in modern times.

The 31-year-old wants players to connect with fans at every level. The best way to do this is to communicate as much as possible, talk openly about everything and show the true side of the personality, not caring about reactions.

We have been having conversations with NBC and CBS to improve the broadcast for PGA Tour fans. Were incredibly lucky to have many passionate people tuning in to watch us every week, but lets be honestthis game can feel a little distant at times.- Thomas said as quoted by Golf Monthly.

It is known that younger fans are extremely focused on the personality of the individual, which is visible in many sports today. If we were to analyze sports and their popularity, it can be noticed how much sports like UFC and Boxing are gaining in popularity, mainly because of the drama that reigns, but also the honesty and open-mindedness of the fighters.

Although golf does not want to have exactly the same approach, it is clear that they want to show that golfers have another side of personality, whether friendly or sometimes less friendly.

A recent survey found that on-course personality was the highest-ranked driver of interest for young fans (18-34), Thomas said. Getting the younger age group interested and watching our sport could be a huge difference in our popularity.

Netflix documentaries have also done a lot, especially for F1, whose popularity has skyrocketed after the famous documentary 'Formula 1: Drive to Survive'.

Thomas, although he is not someone who gets emotionally attached to people in the world of sports, admits that he gained sympathy for some of them exclusively because he saw "what happens behind the screen" and got to know their personality better.

"I had no interest in rooting for certain players, teams, coaches before watching a handful of shows and games. But the way some of them show their cards and how they go about everything makes me an even bigger fan..."- he concluded.
