TGL has done great things by coming to the golf scene, which is also reflected in the TV ratings. The league created by Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, along with the PGA Tour, has been doing magical things since its arrival earlier this year.

The performance from a few nights ago attracted a lot of attention, where we had the opportunity to watch popular golfers in a completely different edition that we are used to.
The first two matches were not particularly competitive, considering the dominant victories of one of the teams. However, the third match in which the main actors were Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel was much closer than the previous two.
Horschel surprised everyone with an interview after the match, stressing that the producer asked them to make the match as close as possible. However, the experienced golfer had to say afterwards that he was being sarcastic, especially because the reactions of golf fans were furious.
Were having a great competition, Horschel told ESPNs Marty Smith. Obviously, the last few weeks have been blowouts, and this one isnt. Jeff [Neubarth] the producer has asked us nicely to keep it close and were trying to accommodate him as much as we can.

TGL is a serious project that wants to grow year after year
Although the 38-year-old had completely different intentions, some misunderstood his statements.
TGL is a competition in which the entertainment factor is obviously the key to everything, so sometimes statements like Horschel's reflect this competition. Of course, even though this competition is of a different nature, it does not mean that matches are fixed or that they obey the orders of their superiors.
TGL wants to be a competitive league, interesting to the fans, offering them something completely different from what they are used to. Looking at the ratings, they are doing well for now, it must be admitted.
