The 2025 NBA All-Star teams have officially been announced and the internet has some reactions to the included and non-included players.
The official Western Conference starters for the 2025 All-Star game are:
Nikola Joki
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Stephen Curry
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
The only snub in this team would have been Victor Wembanyama missing out on a starter spot.
Some NBA fans definitely agree.
The NBA needs its ratings improved and Wemby being snubbed is a travesty.

Wemby should be a starter. I cant think of anyone who should start over Curry since Luka is injured but. Wemby has been better than both Lebron and KD

The Spurs wont have an All-Star starter this year, as Kevin Durant narrowly beat out Victor Wembanyama.
50% of votes come from fans
25% from NBA players
25% from media
Durant results: Players 2nd, Fans 3rd, Media 5th
Wemby: Players 4th, Fans 4th, Media 2nd pic.twitter.com/4mLz8RiB0mJosh Paredes (@Josh810) January 24, 2025
The official Eastern Conference starters for the 2025 All-Star game are:
Jalen Brunson
Donovan Mitchell
Jayson Tatum
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Karl Anthony Towns
The biggest snub from the East team was LaMelo Ball. The Hornets star led the fan votes in the third return and is averaging 29 PTS per game this season.
He also would have breathed some young and energetic life into the All-Star game. He must be in the reserves, even considering how many more viewers he and how much more engagement he would bring.
Some NBA fans on X are not happy about his snub.
Lamelo should be starting. I get the team not good but he been balling.

Lamelo won the fan and player vote by a WIDE margin. How the hell is he not a starter? Lmao https://t.co/1a6IsuSmbr

The media think SIX (6) eastern conference guards were better than Lamelo and Im supposed to take this league seriously? https://t.co/7PujCNvhYl

For first time in All-Star history, the format will be a mini-tournament, with four teams three will be comprised of the 24 All-Star selections and the fourth will be the winner of the Rising Stars competition and three games.
The two winners of the semifinal matchups will meet in the championship, and in each game, the first team to score 40 points will win.
For the starters, fan voting has accounted for 50 percent of the tally, then current NBA players made up 25 percent and a media panel another 25 percent.
