LIV Golf has been making interesting moves in recent days, wanting to have the main say on the golf scene. One of the most important figures of the Saudi-backed Tour is Phil Mickelson, a man who has been doing everything for several years to help LIV become stronger.

During the winter, LIV worked in many fields, and their TV contract with Fox Sports, which they consider key to success in the future, is especially impressive. In addition, LIV signed several contracts with sponsors.
In an interview with FOX Bussines, the experienced Mickelson stressed that this agreement between LIV and FOX influenced sponsors to take more interest in the controversial Tour. In addition, Phil hopes that both parties will benefit in this case.
"Its helping us create a lot of value for our sponsors, and sponsors are coming more now with the value that FOX brings," said Mickelson, as quoted by Golf Monthly.
"And hopefully, itll be added value for FOX and be consistent with that cutting edge, innovative, younger target audience."

LIV officials had a plan to create a competition that would be different from all the previous ones. The priority was to make this competition a global brand, and after that they pointed out that their goal was to attract the best players as well as teams from all over the world. Of course, another goal of the Saudis is to attract the young population to follow golf, especially LIV.

"Were trying to become an added value to the golf ecosystem. The old model was not getting the younger players involved, it wasnt a global model," said Mickelson.
"Were the first global model for golf. Were able to bring the best players, best teams throughout the world. That hasnt been the case, so were trying to help grow the game on a global basis. Were all additive. Were all in this together. We're only 14 weeks a year, there's 38 other weeks of golf."
Looking at the last three years since they appeared on the scene, it is noticeable that they have made progress, but not to the extent expected.
