The January 28 episode of NXT was quite an episode, and it kicked off with a big womens tag team match. This also led to how NXT General Manager Ava booked Vengeance Day.
Bayley and Giulia took on Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in tag team action to kick off this weeks NXT. In the end, the babyface team won in Atlanta.
Roxanne Perez was not happy about the fact that Bayley showed her up. She confronted Ava backstage later on in the show, and she wanted to know who Giulia would defend her NXT Womens Title against during the February 15 special event.
Ava then broke the news to Roxanne Perez that she will get a title shot at Vengeance Day, however, she wont be the only challenger. Giulia will defend her NXT Womens Title in a triple threat match against both Perez and Bayley.
This is not the only high profile triple threat match for the Vengeance Day event. Oba Femi will also defend the NXT Title against both Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. We will have to see if NXT books any more triple threat matches for the upcoming show.
