Dakota Kai wont be anywhere near Royal Rumble weekend, as she remains stuck in concussion protocol.
PWInsider reports that the Damage CTRL star is still sidelined and will not be traveling to Indianapolis for WWEs first major event of the year.
Kai suffered the concussion during her RAW tag team match alongside IYO SKY against Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. While the exact moment of injury hasnt been confirmed, its believed to have happened after a rough landing from a missile dropkick. WWEs concussion protocol is strict, meaning she wont return until she passes all required evaluations.
Her absence is a major setback for Damage CTRL, who were expected to be a force in the Royal Rumble match. With Kai out of action, any plans WWE had for the group may need to be adjusted. Theres no timetable for her return, and concussions can be unpredictable, making her comeback a waiting game.
For fans hoping to see Kai mix it up this weekend, its officially off the table. She wont be ringside, backstage, or anywhere near Indianapolis. WWE isnt taking any chances with her recovery, and now all eyes are on when shell finally be cleared.
Should WWE adjust Damage CTRLs plans without Dakota Kai, or should they wait for her return? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
