Stephanie McMahon initially took a leave of absence to focus on her family but returned to WWE in 2022 when her father, Vince McMahon, was under investigation. However, after Vince reclaimed his role as Executive Chairman of the WWE Board of Directors, Stephanie resigned. Following a hiatus, she has made occasional appearances on WWE television and has now admitted that she needed time away from the company.
While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Stephanie McMahon was asked if there was a moment when she wanted to get away and if she realized that she was proud of being in WWE. Stephanie McMahon stated that she never stopped being proud of WWE but she did want to disappear for a while, which she did.
McMahon admitted it was good for her as she needed it and now she is back to WWE, as she said, I never stopped being proud, ever. I do think I wanted to disappear for a while, and I kind of did. It was good for meI needed it. And now, Im back.
Triple H even hinted at StephanieMcMahon making more appearances on WWE television as part of the Netflix era, which is something fans have been clamoring for a long time now. Its clear that is happening more and more right now, so well have to see whether McMahon will have an official backstage role in WWE again, as fans really want her to be involved in WWE in an active role.
