Lydia Ko has serious ambitions this year, defending her title on the course in Lake Nona. The 27-year-old golfer got off to a furious start last season, unlike in 2023 when she wasn't that great.

In an interview with the media, the New Zealander pointed out that a great start last year gave her the wind at her back, after which she entered the tournaments with the necessary confidence. This great golfer realized there is no obstacle for her.
After having a tough year in 23, to win the first tournament back last year gave me a lot more confidence and good momentum [going] into a year that was very important for me, with the Olympics and the majors.
It helped a lot with confidence. It gave me the belief that I could be back in the winners circle and in the Hall of Fame that was the year it happened to be.
It all started here, and this being my home club, I got a lot of home crowd support, Ko said, as quoted by nzherald.

Career Grand Slam
The 27-year-old golfer has one goal: to win the career grand slam. Although it will be quite difficult, knowing her qualities, we have no doubt that Ko can achieve that goal. She already has three out of five major titles.
The US Open and the Women's PGA are her last obstacle to winning the career grand slam. The popular golfer points out that there are only a small number of players who have achieved such a goal.
Lydia Ko is looking forward to having another New Zealander on the LPGA Tour this year, as Fiona Xu qualified through the Epson Tour. Ko admitted that she is looking forward to having a compatriot by her side, hoping for success.
Fiona Xu will certainly have a lot to learn from her older colleague, even though she is already a talented golfer.
