If you are wondering who selects the reserves, its the leagues head coaches.

The NBAs 30 head coaches vote for NBA All-Star reserves, but they cannot vote for players from their own team.

So, it looks like coaches really dont like LaMelo Ball and Trae Young.

LaMelo Ball LED All-Star East fan voting in the first, second and third returns. He was also third in player voting and ranked seventh in media voting, so not have him in the team AT ALL is seriously wild.

While Trae has been a constant snub in the All-Star event, outside of the three times he actually made the team.

Trae Not An All-Star Young this season:
22.7 PTS, 11.4 AST (league leader)

43 PTS, 6 3PT, 5 AST
38 PTS, 10 AST, 8 REB, 4 STL
35 PTS, 15 AST
35 PTS, 13 AST, 6 3PT
34 PTS, 10 AST, 7 3PT
31 PTS, 20 AST
24 PTS, 20 AST
20 PTS, 22 AST

NBA fans on X are not happy about their omissions.

Some people also argued that Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac were snubbed from the Western Team, as they have been playing very well.
