Gavi has become the latest Barcelona star to sign a new contract, tying himself to the La Liga giants until 2030.
Contract extensions have been the order of business in Catalonia in recent weeks. Centre-back Ronald Araujo ended uncertainty over his future by signing fresh terms, before Pedri put pen to paper on Thursday.
24 hours later, Barcelona confirmed Gavi had followed suit, inking a new five-and-a-half-year contract to remain with the Blaugrana until 2030.
"I'm very happy to commit to the club of my life," Gavi said upon inking his new deal.
Reports suggest Gavi's new contract retains the 1bn release clause which was present in his previous deal. Barcelona are determined not to be forced to lose the 20-year-old, whose exit clause is significantly higher than the 65m fee set in Araujo's new deal.
Centre-back Inigo Martinez is expected to be next in line for a new contract, while superstar winger Lamine Yamal has already confirmed his plan to extend with Barcelona.
The 17-year-old's current deal expires in 2026 but there is believed to be a pre-existing agreement over a contract which he will sign on his 18th birthday in July.
