At the press conference, the Danish tennis player returned to make statements after the defeat in Melbourne against Jannik Sinner, opening up about his career and future.
"The last few years have been exciting and positive in many ways. For me, it all happened very quickly with that win in Paris-Bercy, which was nice but also stressful in many moments, especially when I started playing badly at the end of 2023. Now I'm back on the right track. I don't focus on what happened in the past, but on the present and then on the future. That's what I can control.
On the one hand, there was a lot of pressure after winning a big tournament and beating Novak Djokovic in the final, but on the other hand, you can look at it in a different way and say it's incredible how people trust my tennis and have high expectations of me. I prefer to think that people believe in me and I accept the challenge," he said, going back a bit in time.

On his ambition to triumph in a Slam tournament, the Dane said: "I don't feel pressure when I play. I don't think I have to win this or that match because of the expectations placed on me. I'm very competitive and you have to learn that when you're young you don't know everything.
It's about understanding how to react after every good moment and training even harder after those victories. I've always had confidence in myself, but in the last year and a half I haven't worked as hard as I should have. Now I'm doing it and I hope the satisfactions will come. Without the tennis, physical and mental aspects that I'm working on, the leap doesn't happen. Everyone can say they want to win a Slam, but you have to work and that's what I'm doing."
