Despite winning nine titles from January 2024 to date, the last year has not been so easy for Jannik Sinner. The Italian ace has raised his level exponentially on the tennis court and has dominated the last twelve months, really leaving crumbs to his opponents (excluding Carlos Alcaraz).

The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria also started the new year in the best possible way by winning the Australian Open for the second year in a row, without losing a single set in the last three rounds and not conceding a single break point to Alexander Zverev in the final.

However, the 3-time Grand Slam champion suffered severe stress due to the doping case that hit him in March 2024. Jannik had to face a long trial in front of ITIA and could not share his experience with anyone, but he continued to achieve incredible results thanks to his mental strength.

This case was only made known by ITIA at the end of summer 2024, just before the start of the US Open.

Sinner has incredible mental strength

In a recent interview with 'TennisTemple', Jasmine Paolini's coach said that Sinner had to face some hearings just before playing important matches last year and revealed an anecdote about it.

In particular, the Italian tennis player had to testify about his doping case between 4 AM and 10 AM the day before the Cincinnati Masters 1000 semifinal against Sascha Zverev.

Despite that stress and an almost sleepless night, the 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria prevailed over the German in three sets after a battle of over three hours.

As everyone knows, Jannik's case has not yet ended due to WADA's decision to appeal against the acquittal sentence. The trial before the CAS in Lausanne will take place in mid-April, in conjunction with the Munich ATP 250 (which the Italian ace may have to miss).

The 3-time Grand Slam champion has always professed his innocence and continues to leave everyone speechless on the tennis court.
