Damian Priest has had a hectic few months since he had been feuding with members of The Judgment Day. While that chapter of his career is over, Priest is now ready for the Royal Rumble this week and it appears issued a challenge to the Mayor of Indianapolis for a match.
During a fan event for the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, the Mayor of Indianapolis Joseph Joe Hogsett was given a special WWE Championship. Byron Saxton then told him he heard Hogsett was going to defend the title tomorrow and asked if he was ready for bout and even stated that Damian Priest could help him, as he said, Now Mayor I heard you gotta defend your title tomorrow night. Are you ready? You got your boots and gear? Maybe Damian Priest can give you some advice.
Interestingly enough, Damian Priest surprised fans when he stated that he wanted to be the Mayor of Indianapolis first opponent for that title, as he said, Yeah I got you, but I think I should be your first opponent. Its a beautiful title. It was clearly a playful challenge and fans definitely had a blast after Priest issued the challenge.
The Royal Rumble premium live event will take place onFebruary 1st at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and fans can expect numerous surprises throughout the night to keep them entertained. Damian Priest is definitely determined to win the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career, but his interaction with the Mayor of Indianapolis was something fans definitely enjoyed.
