Chelsea Green is the Womens United States Champion, and she is the first in WWE to hold that honor. She is on top of her game right now, but shes also not above making herself the butt of the joke. There is a good reason for that.
While speaking to Busted Open Radio before the 2025 Royal Rumble, Chelsea Green was asked about her character in pro wrestling. She explained that she has made fun of herself throughout her career.
Then Bubba Ray Dudley brought up how pro wrestlers are usually very selfish. That caused Green to go into more detail about how she sees things.
Chelsea Green went on to say that she never understood why heels will go out and say something off the script to bury a babyface, when they know that they will win the interaction. She is more than ready to make fun of herself, and make herself the butt of the joke, so thats not going to change.
The WWE Womens United States Champion is ready to turn the joke on herself, because she made herself the joke a long time ago. Through it all, shes also seen a ton of success.
We will have to see how much longer Chelsea Green holds onto the WWE Womens United States Championship, but she could have a big match at WrestleMania 41 in her future if she holds onto that belt for a couple more months.
