With WWE Royal Rumble weekend in full swing, another familiar face has been spotted in IndianapolisRhyno.
According to PWInsider Elite, the former WWE and ECW Champion was seen at the WWE hotel, where he was greeted by Talent Relations staff before being quickly whisked away to a more private area. The sighting has instantly fueled speculation that Rhyno could be making a surprise appearance in the mens Royal Rumble match on Saturday night.
Rhyno recently became a free agent after departing TNA Wrestling just a few weeks ago. While he was already in town for WrestleCon, his presence at the WWE hotel suggests that there might be more going on behind the scenes.
His last WWE appearance came on November 7, 2024, when he made a special NXT cameo at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia while still under contract with TNA. Now, with his status officially open, the timing of this sighting raises even more questions about what WWE might have planned.
With so many rumored surprise entrants for the Royal Rumble, adding Rhyno to the mix could be WWEs way of paying tribute to an ECW original while throwing in another unexpected moment for fans.
