The beef between Joey Janela and Dylan Bostic finally exploded, and it was anything but friendly. After years of back-and-forth trash talk, Bostic caught up with Janela in Indianapolis over GCW weekend on January 31, and things got violent fast.
Bostic took to Twitter to drop footage of their heated confrontation, showing him storming up to Janela before flipping over a table that landed right on AEWs former Bad Boy. Janela wasnt about to let that slidehe immediately launched the table back at Bostic, and from there, all hell broke loose.
Fists started flying as the two clashed, and within seconds, bystanders jumped in as Bostic took Janela to the ground. Even with others trying to break it up, punches and kicks kept coming in the chaotic scene.
This fight was years in the making. Back in 2021, Bostic called out Janela for a boxing or MMA fight, challenging him to man up or shut up. Janela dismissed him entirely, even saying in a DM, Youre a p*ssy dude, on sight Im gonna blast you. But you dont get booked anywhere so Ill never see you unfortunately.
Then there was the AEW pay dispute that put Bostic in the middle of controversy. In December 2020, he claimed AEW cut his pay as an extra by 60%, and his timing couldnt have been worse. The AEW locker room was still mourning the loss of Brodie Lee, and when Bostic aired his grievance, it didnt sit well with anyone. Britt Baker called him out, Ricky Starks told him to shut the f*ck up, and Janela chimed in with, Tbh its still $80 more than you were ever paid to wrestle. The backlash was so bad that Bostic ended up deleting his tweet, but the damage was done.
Janela later turned down the boxing fight, making it clear that Bostics AEW tweet played a big part in his decision. Ignored this loser for the past few weeks, Janela said. I sent this message after he used this platform while the AEW roster was mourning to make up a lie that he was stiffed on pay. Even if Triller offered me 500k I wouldnt take the fight because I would never give you the publicity, scumbag.
Now, more than four years later, Bostic wasnt waiting for a sanctioned fighthe brought the fight to Janela himself. After posting the video, he told Ringside News, He talked all that sh*t, turned down the paid fight, so I pulled up on him in my city Naptown!
Ringside News can confirm this is not a wrestling angle by any means. This is not part of a storyline, nor is it a work to build toward a match. This was a real-life confrontation between two wrestlers with personal issues that have been brewing for years.
The fallout from this wild brawl is still unfolding, but its clear these two arent settling their issues anytime soon.
What do you think about this long-running feud finally turning physical? Should they settle it in the ring, or was this fight bound to happen? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
