Joey Janela has made it cleardespite being blindsided in a heated confrontation with Dylan Bostic at GCW Indianapolis on January 31, he has no interest in taking legal action.
The brawl, which quickly went viral, erupted when Bostic stormed up to Janelas merch table and flipped it over, sending items flying. Caught off guard, Janela defended himself as the two exchanged blows before others intervened. The chaotic scene left fans stunned, with many wondering if Janela would take things a step further by pressing charges.
When a fan asked him directly on social media if he would involve law enforcement, Janelas response was simple: No.
Janela later expanded on the situation, explaining that this fight had been brewing for years. The animosity between them dates back to 2020 when Bostic publicly complained about his AEW pay being cut the day after Brodie Lees passing. That comment sparked backlash from AEW talent, including Janela, Britt Baker, and Ricky Starks, who all called him out at the time. Bostic had repeatedly challenged Janela to a fight, even suggesting an MMA or boxing match, but Janela ignored the tauntsuntil now.
Janela also pointed out that he wasnt the one who escalated things. I got ambushed, he wrote, explaining that he had been meeting fans when Bostic flipped the table. He described the situation as embarrassing and apologized to GCW and its crew, saying he never wanted to take attention away from the event.
Adding insult to injury, Janela mocked Bostics fighting ability, stating, For someone that claims to have boxing training, amazingly, not one punch landed, and he was eventually carried out like a crying baby by Calvin Tankman.
While some fans think Janela should pursue legal action, his decision to let it go suggests hes ready to move on. The question now is whether Bostic will do the same or if this rivalry will continue to boil over.
